Building the BVDLC Book

A running summary of the Business Value Driven Life Cycle manuscript, how the parts map to the bvdlc.ai site, and the artifacts we keep in sync between both homes.

Jarvis and I are finishing a five part book that explains the delivery operating system we have been using inside client teams. This page mirrors the structure of the manuscript and is the jumping off point to bvdlc.ai, which hosts the canonical templates, diagrams, and resource drops.

Why two sites

Sowmya.blog remains the quiet reading room. It collects the essays, notes, and work logs that explain how I practice architecture. The book needs a louder home that can carry live diagrams, resource hubs, and analytics. That is what bvdlc.ai provides through the standalone launch site and the resource folder.

  • Use this page when you want narrative context, excerpts, and a calm explanation of what each part covers.
  • Use bvdlc.ai when you need launch updates, downloads, or to point executives at the polished overview.
  • Grab templates from bvdlc.ai/resources so there is only one canonical version of each artifact.

Part I: The shift has already happened

Sets the stakes. AI compressed development work, but most teams kept their slow requirement, design, and measurement habits. Part I maps the cracks that appear when you move faster without better context.

  • Read the stakes summary at bvdlc.ai#overview for the fast exec-ready view.
  • Longer reflections will keep showing up here as essays and notes, like the Marcus story inside Part I.

Part II: The six phases and three pillars

Walks through the bones of the framework: Context, Flow, and Outcome across Phase 0 through Phase 5. This is where the Orbit diagram on bvdlc.ai comes from.

Part III: Building the practice

This part is the kit. Context folder structure, day one setup, thirty day pilot plans, and the master prompt library. Any time I reference a template without embedding it here, assume the live version sits inside the resources tree on the book site.

Part IV: Outcomes and measurement

Details how we prove that the work delivered value: ROI dashboards, compliance-ready audit trails, and new review formats. The numbers in the book come from anonymized client work and roll up into the measurement cards on the bvdlc.ai landing page.

  • Scorecards and checklists sit at phase-checklists
  • Sample ROI walkthroughs are being cleaned for publication and will land inside the same resources directory.

Part V: Futureproof delivery

The closing arguments: execution abstraction, post-agent workflows, and the manifesto that keeps us honest once the tools keep changing. Most of this part will live here as essays while we figure out which diagrams belong on the public launch site.

  • The manifesto draft will appear in the notes feed first, then move here, and finally join the resources as a printable PDF once it is stable.
  • Expect the execution surface stories to back-reference bvdlc.ai#implementation so the messaging stays tight between both sites.

How to follow along

I keep this page up to date whenever we publish a new excerpt or resource. The Notes grid on the homepage tracks smaller wins. The resource links above always point to the canonical files so nobody is chasing stale attachments.
